In Awe....

You know for the most part I am usually cynical and sarcastic...and I am no where NEAR politically correct. I have to admit that part of me was not looking forward to the Inauguration today. I told my husband that I may not watch...but we did. And I have to tell you it has been a great GREAT thing. I have a renewed patriotism today. I am proud to be American...it seems like for JUST today...there is no Black America or White America....it is just America. Just Americans celebrating a long lived tradition and in the mean time renewing patriotism and love for this country. So from one cynical and sarcastic and sometimes rude to the point of awkwardness person...but....

Today is important. Today MEANS something. Today is history in the making. Today we saw something that I thought I would never see...that most of us thought we would never see. We are all lucky to be here today and see this wonderful occasion. I feel lucky...
No sarcasm today...LOL... check with me tomorrow. Maybe I can dig up some cynicism by then. :)
