Connections

Since the workshop I went to in December I thought a bit about connections...with people, with objects, family, hobbies...everything. Not losing connection with new found friends. Getting renewed connections with old friends. Valuing a new found talent and sharing it with others. It all comes down to connections. I think we all have this desire to be connected with something....someone. To serve a greater purpose. To be a part of something bigger than ourselves. The thought of being connected makes us feel safer. Makes us feel a part of something and that is an important thing. I finished this page in my journal after pondering Connections and what they mean to me...
This piece is going to be an ATC(artist trading card) that I am sharing with the group that took the Visual Journal workshop with me in December.

I love your "layers" page! Beautiful. Is it lame to say that I can see your art growing from the first to now..? Also I really want to do visual journaling with my Activity Day girls! I may have to ask you to be our guest artist.

Hey thanks! That is one of my favorites. And I would LOVE to come and be a guest artist. I could show them the techniques that I learned. :) Seriously I would love to...

And thanks about the art growth..I kinda feel that way too.

Thanks for the kind words. I mainly setup my blog to keep me fluid with my art. Because as you know, the "day job" can take a lot out of a person.
