I have to let someone know...
So Eric has been doing Bag Piping gigs for a while now and has been tucking away the $$ as he has earned it for 'something special'. He told me that he wanted to buy me an LCD TV for Christmas but didn't have the money to do so. The last month or so we have really concentrated on saving the money he makes for gigs for our 'crazy' money. All along I have know 2 things: 1. there is NO WAY we could afford to take any budget money for the TV and 2. They are WAY expensive and it would probably take forever to save enough money.
Well...a few things happened kinda all at once this week. Eric had another job to play at a funeral...so more savings for our little bucket...I got an email from Costco advertising a 40 in LCD TV for 699 with a 100 dollar instant rebate...WOW...so I checked it out and found out that it was ONLY online and for this brand that we had NEVER heard of...so no go on that one...sigh...HOWEVER...Mike...the TV guy from Costco said they had a 42 in LCD for the same price. WHAT??? 2 inches BIGGER AND it is the same price? What is the catch??? I looked and looked...no catch...
Then Eric gets back from the funeral and we count our pennies and discover...we may JUST be able to pull this off...he looks at me and says...is it OK if this is your Valentines Day Present? OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Long story short...STILL a little suspicious and with hard earned cash in hand I head off to the costco...and sure enough there it was...no catches...just a great sale....and all the planets aligning...
So now there is a beautiful 42 LCD miracle planets aligning TV in our Living room...I don't even know how to act...we ran all over the room last night to view it from "all angles"...AND WE COULD STILL SEE IT!!! lol...
AND THEN...today...Eric messages me and asks if I would like to go see STOMP tonight....YES...it seems the production company called him and asked him to come out and adjust the cast of STOMP...and we can see the SHOW!
Planets aligned AGAIN!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE STOMP!!!!
Ok..that is all I have for today...I am so excited!!!!

Yea, I totally bought the same one on Monday... Actually planned to get one of the smaller ones, ended with the 42incher... that's what happens when you take owners of a 60something incher with you... Go big or go home...
LOL...yeah you gotta go with the big ones!! ESPECIALLY when they are SUCH a great deal!!!

We got a 42in at circuit city for a major steal, we used our tax refund for that though. It looks good in out new house, I cannot beleive the difference. I am seeing stuff that I never saw before. YAY!! for awesome deals on awesome tvs!
