**I forgot to mention that Elisa took me out to a fabulous lunch to Pei Wei. It was awesome! Sorry Elisa...I didn't mean to leave you out!**

On July 20th I turned the big 4-0. Yep it is true. And weird...I mean how DOES a 40 year old act? I have NO IDEA...So I will just have to keep being me. lol That still may be a bit much. :)
40 is a time to have a big celebration. And since I am very lucky to have been born at the SAME TIME we were walking on the moon for the first time...NASA threw a big bash for me! Well me and the Space Program. They did the same thing on my 25th birthday. Very cool that they remembered. This year they had awesome programs and even aired the ORIGINAL footage ENHANCED digit

ally of Neil and Buzz walking on the moon. Good times. And I watched ALL of it. And LOVED IT!

Then there was all the well wishers on Facebook. Gotta love the tech! And the cards in the mail. And wonderful gifts.
My Sister gave my some PJs and a Vera Wang bag. Very pretty. :)

Eric gave me the movie 5th element. I had owned it before but it got stolen and I was very sad about it. So that made me smile!

The best gift he gave me was a journal that is titled "Love letters to my Eternal Companion by Dr Eric Hahn". No need to explain.... :)
But I have to tell you ... I read the first 2 entries and they brought tears to my eyes.

I love my husband. He is simply the best.

Now on to Mom and Dad's gift...hold on to your hats folks...
So USUALLY when the Bday comes around and Mom asks me what I want for a gift I say 'nothing' or 'just a little something'. I don't want them to go to a lot of trouble. They have done so much for me in my life and I am forever grateful to them for all they have taught me and done for me. so when I went to tell mom the small gift I wanted (a hanging fruit basket for the kitchen) she said NO NO don't even tell me..I already have your gift picked out. Don't worry. I don't need any ideas. Ok I thought..and I was a little puzzled. Mom ALWAYS wants suggestions...so do I . I am NOT the best gift picker...but that is another blog entirely.
So I don't think anything else about it till we get to mom and dad's house for my Birthday dinner and and cake and visiting and gifts. So before dinner Dad was VERY excited for me to open my gift. He couldn't even wait till after dinner....So..Mom went and got it and I opened it...And almost fell OFF THE COUCH..
.
You ready for this????

Mom and Dad got me a WII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone that has made my birthday so very special this year. Good times. Good times...

I LOVE the look of total shock on your face when you are opening your wii! Hilarious. Now I can't wait to sit in your HUGE comfy furniture and play your wii.

Oh yeah - Happy Birthday by the way. I thought about you all day while watching all the NASA specials. You get all the NASA celebrations and all I get is Memorial Day and a bicentennial...

I'm totally hurt. You didn't say anything about your fabulous birthday lunch!
