Substitutes and Sick Beds

Yesterday I was at home sick from work. About 10:30 my cell phone rings(10:30 is 4th period in scchool time). It seems that the entire class was trying to pull a fast one on my sub. They said they needed to go to their lockers to get their logins...LIE!! THEN they said that they had to go get a disk because I have told them that they have to save their things to a disk...ANOTHER LIE!!!
Now I have to tell you one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is for my students to treat my Substitutes poorly. If they are rude to my sub...then it is possible that person won't come back to my class to sub...NOT COOL...soooooo....while I was on my sick bed I came up with a wonderful way they can make up their horrible behavior to me...and here it is...

It sucks when you can't be nice...I have a feeling I will probably be writing some folks up today...but I bet they won't be rude to my Substitute again...
Eric told me yesterday when I told him of my idea...that I was evil...and it made me chuckle...a quiet sinister laugh...

That really is the worst. I always feel bad for subs and of course you always want them to be willing to come back. I don't think you're evil at all.

Excellent! It makes me think of that children's book about the nice teacher who has to dress as an evil witch substitute to get her class to respect her... what's that book called? Anyway I think you know what I mean.

Love it! You should make them wash windows too and then they might think twice. I can't believe kids these days!!
