Bikers, Chiropractors and the Hells Angels

There aren't many places in the world where you can see a pinstriper, a biker preacher, a chiropractor and 2 hells angels booths...all within a stone throw of each other. Good times people. I am not lying. Eric and I went tot he Smokeout this past weekend and as usual it was a fun filled...crazy people watching...awesome motorcycle seeing...adjusting some rough and tough bikers kinda weekend. Last year was great and this year did not let us down. New venue this year...Rockingham Dragstrip. There were THOUSANDS of people there. Another great showing and we were glad to be invited back. Edge-the guy in charge-had us out last year as the chiropractor on site...and he invited us again this year. It was cool to be there. WE had some folks look us up from last year and just rave about how good they felt and wanted to be adjusted again. I guess if anything, we are a hit with the bikers!
This year added an even better twist. We were assigned the space RIGHT across from 2 chapters of the hells angels. You read right...TWO. One from Fayett-nam and the other from beautiful downtown Durham. At first we were a little nervous. These guys don't have the best of reps you know? They kept looking over at us and we
would just smile and such...I guess they could have been thinking the same thing as us...why are we across from THEM?? lol ANYWAY...eventually a few of them came over and chatted with Eric. He even adjusted one guy. Goes to show we do NOT discriminate...you got 30 bucks? Eric will adjust you! hahahahah At one point though we noticed that no one was coming into our tent...and we looked around and saw that there were 6 of the angels from hades standing in front of our tent. 3 on each side...uh...guys...we appreciate the 'protection' but you are scaring off the clientelle. lol I don't know what that was all about!
One good thing came from it though. People wouldn't speed by or kick up a lot of dust cause if they did the boys in leather would come out fr
om the booth weilding hammers and 16 inch mag lites to encourage people to 'keep the dust down'. To say it was interesting was an understatement.
We had a great time though. There were some AMAZING bikes there...some custom made and some not so custom, but most were beautiful. Some were very ugly...like the one that was embellished to look like a volcano...even
had lights to simulate 'lava'...I may even have a picture to share. hahaha Ths is the volcano bike doing a flameout. It is a very risky venture where you have fire on the ground and you rev the engine like crazy and the heat makes the flames even bigger. Good times...
All in all...a great time...and we even made enough money to cover the trip...and have a bit left over. :) And we are invited back for next year I hope...who knows...we may build up a huge following of bikers...

This lil dog was decked out and riding a motorcycle. What you don't get to see is the HELMET with SPIKES that the dog also wore...niiiiice.

This is a picture of the drag strip. Motorcycles raced here all weekend. Some were FAST...others just chugged along. Here is a video of one of the races. :)

How cool is that! You guys get to do the neatest things - who knew chiropractic was such an "IN"? (STOMP, Smokeout, etc)
