Tow Trucks are of the Devil...

Last Tuesday my Mom came up to the big city to go shopping with me. She arrived at my house around 4:45. We had dinner and then left by about 5:10...only to discover that her car had been TOWED...yeah TOWED...we found out later- after MANY phone calls- that the car was safe and sound at the impound yard...I use the term safe loosely...VERY loosely...

ANYWAY...after about 2.5 hours
of phone calls and directions given and getting lost and having to go to the most dangerous gas station ever to get CASH...we got the car back...and at this point...we are totally over shopping...sigh...

But here is the part that made me chuckle. As we are dealing with the less than nice tow company, Mom proceeds to write a CHECK for the tow....I kinda thought in the back of my mind they wouldn't take a check...but maybe a credit card. Come to find out...no checks, no credit cards..only CASH. But it wouldn't have helped if they DID take the credit cards...cause Mom didn't have hers...AND she had no cash. MOM...you can't come to the big city with NO cash...(she had 2 checks....she planned on getting gas later...with the other check)

Needless to say I explained to her that the big city doesn't really cater to checks...so the next night when she came up...she had the CARD...and some cash. Good for you Mom!!! Oh and shopping the NEXT night was GREAT...no tows...only great deals and cute stuff!!!!

:)
